Elaine Sinclair

Elaine Sinclair is a curator and producer based in Plymouth. Elaine completed her Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Artist University Plymouth in 2017. She then completed her BA in Art History and Curating from Manchester School of Art.

As Assistant Curator and Programme Producer at MIRROR, Elaine is responsible for producing the programme of exhibitions and events for our students, staff and the wider public alongside Hannah Rose (Curator). She also maintains partnerships with other organisations around the city, manages our student volunteers and takes the lead on marketing for MIRROR.

Elaine has worked in multiple arts organisations across the UK including; Paradise Works, Manchester as a Committee Member, and Holden Gallery, Manchester as an Exhibitions Assistant. Returning to Plymouth in 2020, Elaine worked as a Curatorial Assistant at KARST Gallery and Studios on the programme of exhibitions for two years.

She has presented her work at Open Eye Gallery, Manchester, and has produced community outreach projects including Plymouth Art Weekender, Plymouth Contemporary and This is Endometriosis Global Photography Campaign.

Elaine is passionate about professional development and opportunities for artists. She is dedicated to supporting the development of the local art scene and engaging with, and building audiences for culture in Plymouth and beyond.

Elaine is also the Assistant Curator and Communications Coordinator for Harbour House, Kingsbridge.
